Toronto, ON, Canada
Full-time
Permanent

We have a message that needs to be heard! Our Marketing team is looking for an Event Producer or Coordinator to help bring that message to the world. In the past year we have participated in over 30 trade show exhibitions, given talks at dozens of international conferences, organized users' meetings on three continents, and hosted seminars in cities all around North America. We are looking for someone to organize all of this, and help us take it to another level.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning the meetings: focus, attendance, requisite materials
  • Logistics: travel arrangements, shipping, reservations, sponsorships
  • Promotion: planning and executing successful campaigns to drive awareness of the events
  • Lead Management: oversee the leads management process
  • Inventory Management: keep an active inventory of all marketing assets.

This person will not work alone, but with the assistance of the entire marketing communications team, who provide artwork, printed material, telemarketing, copy-editing, technical writing, as well as direction about the key goals and target market of each event. This person will collaborate extensively with the shipping department, sales team, and our distributor network worldwide.

The ideal qualities of a candidate will include:

  • Attention to detail
  • Systematic and orderly time and work management skills
  • Ability to manage many details simultaneously
  • Consistent follow through on tasks regardless of their inclination
  • Ability to envision the entire event process and plan meticulously to optimize event success
  • Careful attention to controlling costs
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Individuals with a broad range of experiences will be considered for this position. Documented success in any of the following areas will be considered as differentiating factors: event coordination, event promotion, telemarketing, logistics, foreign languages and multi-tasking. In addition, an elementary understanding of chemistry (particularly analytical chemistry) will be considered an advantage.

Working at ACD/Labs can be characterized by two words: responsibility and ownership. If you have the necessary skills and desire the opportunity to take ownership and responsibility for organizing events, please email a resume highlighting your appropriate qualifications to jobs@acdlabs.com
